Comments: Hardbound octavo 50 pp. This Shir haShirim is divided into XII dramatic acts and presented like a play on stage. Ydit's Foreword states: „The basic idea of the plot in the Prologue and in the Epilogue is derived from the Hebrew medieval Midrash literature (…), The reinterpretation or emendation of certain words or verses was, however, unavoidable and is to be accepted as poetic license." Notes for Bible- and Hebrew Scholars appear at the end as does an appendix that lists commentaries and translations used (Bibliography).
