Comments: This volume was published anonymously, but the preface is signed by Henry Edward, Archbishop of Westminster who credits his predecessor (Nicholas Cardinal Wiseman) with the revision. A later edition published in 1884 says the Psalms were "revised in great part by His Eminence Cardinal Wiseman. Completed and edited by Walter J. B. Richards".
