Comments: Hardback octavo with thread stitching; boxed; X & 1206 pp. Scripture text in double column set in paragraphs; poetic passages, like books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs etc. printed verse- wise; paragraph headings and subheadings. — This is a very fine KJB, »Published in the Golden Jubilee Year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and presented to Her Majesty« in 2002. This copy has a blue cover and is adorned with H.M.‘s Royal crown; - In the Preface, the publishers Robert Hicks and David Wavre write that no textual changes have been made, other than to punctuation and capitalization at the start of sentences. Samples of archaic words and phrases are included in the Word List. Not given are alternate readings and cross references. Text- reading is that of the 1769 B. Blayney revision.
A note to collectors: Apart from this blue copy with the Royal crown other copies of the first 2002 edition on the market are bound in anthracite cloth in a presentation case, but do not bear the Royal crown. So, if you want the crowned one, make sure it is applied. The bibliophile person will regret that not all copies are equipped with a head band.

Comments: More or less identical to the first 2002 edition. For this second 2007 ed. the copyright has been renewed. Otherwise there‘s no indication of changes in the text or else. Maybe some printing errors have been corrected. This boxed copy is overall white and has also white headbands, but it doesn‘t bear the Royal crown both on the cover and on the spine.
A note to collectors: This “Today‘s KJB“ (1769 text) and New Cambridge Paragraph Bible (1611 text) are the finest KJVs printed after the year 2000 and definitely worth buying!
