Comments: This translation was published anonymously in 1840 following the death of the translator in 1839. An editor (also unnamed) completed the final revision and saw the translation to press. Cotton (p. 127) gives the translator as Edgar Taylor (1793-1839). One of the works consulted by Taylor was the New Testament by Richard Wynne.

In mid-2007, a leather bound copy was available on abebooks for $750.
