Comments The first complete Bible in the Spanish Language published in the Western Hemisphere. (A Spanish New Testament had appeared from the same publisher in 1819.) Although this is a Catholic translation that includes the Deuterocanonocal Books, the Protestant publisher did not include the standard annotations or obtain an Imprimatur from the Catholic hierarchy. The title verso has four variants, referring to Edicion I, Edicion II, Edicion III, & Edicion IV.

There are irregularities in pagination and signatures which cause O'Callaghan to conclude this edition is made up of odd signatures from different editions.
