Mark 1:9-13

And in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in Jordan: and as soon as He came up from the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him. And there was a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And immediately the Spirit taketh Him out into the wilderness: and He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan, and among the wild beasts: and angels ministered unto Him.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. By Him were all things made, and without Him was not any one thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the life of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness attained it not.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached to you at first, which ye received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, if ye retain it as I preached it to you: unless indeed ye have believed in vain.
For in the first place I delivered to you, that which I also received, to wit, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures" and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the scriptures. And that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve: after that He appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain yet alive, but some are fallen asleep. Afterwards He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. And last of all He appeared to me also, as one born out of due time.
