Mark 1:9-13
1904 Edition
9And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John into the Jordan. 10And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent apart, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon Him. 11And a voice came out of Heaven, saying, "Thou art My Son, the beloved, in Whom I was delighted."
12And straightway the Spirit driveth Him forth into the wilderness. 13And He was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts; and the angels were ministering to Him.
John 1:1-5
1904 Edition
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and apart from Him was not even one thing made that has been made. 4In Him was Life; and the Life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

1Now I make known to you, brethren, the Gospel which I proclaimed to you, which also ye received, in which also ye have been standing; 2through which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I proclaimed to you, unless ye believed in vain. 3For I delivered to you, among the first things, that which also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; 4and that He was buried, and that He hath been raised on the third day according to the Scriptures; 5and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, 6after that He appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some fell asleep. 7After that He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8and, last of all, as to one born out of time, He appeared to me also.
