Mark 1:9-13
9Now in those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10And just as soon as He started to come up out of the water, He saw the heavens split open and the Spirit coming down like a dove to enter Him. 11And out of the heavens came a voice, "You are my Son, mt Beloved! In you I am delighted!"
12Then the Spirit at once drove Him out into the desert. 13And He stayed in the desert forty days, while He was being tempted by Satan; yea, He was with the wild beasts, but the angels continued to wait upon Him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning the Word existed; and the Word was face to face with God; yea, the Word was God Himself. 2He is the One who was face to face with God in the beginning. 3It was through Him that everything came into existance, and apart from Him not a single thing came into existance. 4It was by Him that life began to exist, and that life was the light of mankind. 5So the light continues to shine in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Now let me remind you, brothers, of the essence of the good news which I proclaimed to you, which you accepted, on which you now are standing, 2and through which you are to be saved, unless your faith at first was spurious. 3For I passed on to you, among the primary principles of the good news, what I had received, that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the Scriptures, 4that He was buried, that on the third day He was raised from the dead, in accordance with the Scriptures, 5and that He was seen by Cephas, and then by the Twelve. 6After that, at one time He was seen by more than five hundred brothers, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then He was seen by James, then by all the apostles, and finally 8He was seen by me, too, as though I were born out of time.
