Genesis 12:1-6
1 Now Jehovah had said to Abram, "Depart from thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, into a land that I will shew thee: 2And I will make the the father of a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3And I will bless them who bless thee, and curse them who curse thee; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed." 4So Abram departed as Jehovah had commanded him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy-five years old when he went from Haran.
5And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son and all their substance which they had gathered, and all the persons whom they had gotten in Haran: and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan. And when they were come into the land of Canaan, 6Abram passed through the land to the place of Sichem, to the terebinth tree of Moreh. Now the Canaanites were then in the land.
