Genesis 12:1-5

1Afterward Yahweh continued to say to Abram:
"Get yourself out from your land, from your kinfolk, and from your father's household,/
To the land that I shall show you;/
2In order that I may make of you a great nation,/
and in order that I may bless you,/
for I am determined to make your name great./
Yea, be thou a blessing;/
3For I am determined to bless those who bless you, and those cursing you I shall curse;/
And men shall be blessed through you,/
even all the families of the earth."/
4Afterward Abram proceeded to go on just as Yahweh had commanded him, and Lot to go with him. Abram was seventy-five years old at thetime of his going out from Charran. 5Yea, Abram proceeded to take Sarai his wife, Lot his brother's son, all the property they had collected, and the persons they had acquired in Charran, to go out with the intention of going to the land of Canaan, and to enter the land of Canaan.
