Exodus 3:13-15
13And Moses said unto God, "Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel,
and shall say unto them, 'The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you'; and they shall say unto me,
'What is his name?' What shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, "I AM THAT I AM": and he said,
"Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, 'I AM hath sent me unto you.'"
^^15^ And God said moreover unto Moses, "Thus shalt you say unto the children of Israel,
'The LORD God of your fathers, The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
hath sent me unto you', this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."
Job 19:21-27
21 "Have pity on me, have pity on me, O ye my friends;
for the hand of God hath touched me.
22 Why do ye persecute me as God,
and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oh that my words were now written!
Oh that they were printed in a book!
24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead
in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my redeemer liveth,
and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body,
yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold,
and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Isaiah 43:10-13
10 "Ye are my witnesses," saith the LORD,
"and my servant whom I have chosen:
that ye may know and believe me,
and understand that I am he:
Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD;
and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared and I have saved, and I have shewed,
when there was no strange god among you:
therefore ye are my witnesses, " saith the LORD, "that I am God.
13 Yea, before the day was I am he;
and there is none that can deliver out of my hand:
I will work, and who shall let it?"
Matthew 6:9-15
9 "After this manner therefore pray ye:
"Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.´
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you.
15 But ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will you Father forgive your trespasses.
1 Corinthians 13:1-7
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity,
I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;
and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,
and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not, charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophecy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
