Genesis 12:1-5

Abram Obeys the Calling

1Then Adonai said to Abram, “Get going out from your land, and from your relatives, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. 2My heart’s desire is to make you into a great nation, to bless you, to make your name great so that you may be a blessing. 3My desire is to bless those who bless you, but whoever curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. 4So Abram went, just as Adonai had spoken to him. Also Lot went with him. (Now Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran.) 5Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions that they had acquired, and the people that they acquired in Haran, and they left to go to the land of Canaan, and they entered the land of Canaan.

Psalm 23

Adonai-Ro-eh

1A psalm of David. Adonai is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. 4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your staff comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows. 6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of Adonai forever.

Isaiah 55:1-3

Trees of the Field will Clap Their Hands

1“Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the water, and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost! 2Why do you spend money for what is not bread? Your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. 3Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, so that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the trustworthy loyalty to David.

Mark 1:9-13

The Spirit Rests on Yeshua

9In those days, Yeshua came from Natzeret in the Galilee and was immersed by John in the Jordan. 10Just as He was coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens ripping open and the Ruach as a dove coming down upon Him. 11And there came a voice from the heavens: “You are My Son, whom I love; with You I am well pleased!” 12That instant, the Ruach drives Him into the wilderness. 13He was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by satan. And He was with the wild beasts, and the angels were taking care of Him.

John 1:1-5

The Word Becomes Flesh

1In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3All things were made through Him, and apart from Him nothing was made that has come into being. 4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

The Victory of the Resurrection

1Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the Good News which I proclaimed to you. You also received it, and you took your stand on it, 2and by it you are being saved if you hold firm to the word I proclaimed to you—unless you believed without proper consideration. 3For I also passed on to you first of all what I also received— that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that He appeared to Kefa, then to the Twelve. 6Then He appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time— most of them are still alive, though some have died. 7Then He appeared to Jacob, then to all the emissaries, 8and last of all, as to one untimely born, He also appeared to me.
