Mark 1:9-13
And it happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and
John baptized him in Jordan.
And immediately, coming out of the water, he saw the heavens opened and
the Holy Spirit descending like a dove upon him and coming out of heaven.
VOICE: You are my loved Son in whom I am well pleased.
Immediately the Spirit led him (Jesus) into the wilderness and he was in the
wilderness for forty days tempted by Satan; and he was with wild beasts;
and angels attended to him.
John 1:1-5
NARRATOR: In the beginning was the Word.
The Word was with God,
The Word was God.
All things were made by him.
All things that were ever made were made by him.
Life was in him.
And the life was the Light of men.
And the light shines in darkness.
And darkness does not understand it.
