1And Jehovah will say to Abram, Go for thyself from thy land, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, to the land which I will shew thee.
2And I will make thee into a great nation, and I will bless thee, and I will make thy name great; and thou shalt be blessed.
3And I will praise them praising thee, and I will curse him cursing thee, and in thee shall all the families of the earth be praised.
4And Abram went according to which Jehovah spake to him, and Lot went with him: and Abram the son of five years and seventy years in his coming out of Haran.
5And Abram will take Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their riches which they acquired in Haran, and they came forth to go into the land of Canaan; and they shall come into the land of Canaan.
1Jehovah my shepherd, and I shall not want.
2He will cause me to lie down in pastures of tender grass: he will lead me to the water of rest.
3We will turn back my soul: he will guide me into the tracks of justice for sake of his name.
4Also, if I shall go into the valley of the shadow of death, I shall not be afraid of evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they will comfort me.
5Thou wilt set in order a table before me in front of mine enemies: thou madest fat mine head with oil; my cup being satisfied with drink.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall pursue me all the days of my life: and I dwelt in the house of Jehovah to the length of days.
1Ho, every one thirsting, come ye to the waters, and whom there is not to him silver, come ye, but and eat; and come ye, and buy without silver and without price, wine and milk.
2Wherefore will ye weigh silver without bread? and your labour not for fulness? hearing, hear ye to me, and eat good, and your soul shall delight in fatness.
3Incline your ear, and come to me, and hear, and your soul shall live; and I will cut out with you an eternal covenant, the sure mercies of David.
9And it was in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan.
10And quickly coming up from the water, he saw the heavens cleft asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him;
11And a voice was from the heavens; Thou are my dearly beloved Son, in whom I was contented.
12And directly the Spirit casts him out into the desert.
13And he was there in the desert forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with wild beasts; and messengers were serving him.
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word.
2This was in the beginning with God.
3All things were by him; and without him was not one thing that was.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And lights shines in darkness; and darkness comprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1And I make known to you, brethren, the good news which I announced to you, which also ye received, and in which ye stood;
2By which also ye are saved, to which word I announced to you if ye hold, unless ye believed to no purpose.
3For I delivered to you among the first, what I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the writings;
4And that he was buried, and that he was raised the third day, according to the writings.
5And that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve:
6Then he was seen by above five hundred brethren once for all; of whom the most remain till now, and some also are laid to rest.
7Then was he seen by James; then by all the sent.
8And last of all exactly as an abortive, was he also seen by me.
