Genesis 12:1-5

1 Now the Eternal had said unto Abram,
Go out of thy land, and from thy kindred, and from thy father‘s house,
to the land which I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee,
and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that execrateth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed..
4 So Abram went as the Eternal had spoken to him;
and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old
when he went out from Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother‘s son,
and all the substance they had gathered, and the souls
that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth into the land of Canaan;
and they came into the land of Canaan.

Psalm XC:1-7

1 A prayer of Moses the man of God.
Lord, a place of refuge hast thou been unto us in all generations.
2 Before yet the mountains were brought forth,
and thou hadst ever produced the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
3 Thou turnest man to contrition, and sayest,
Returneth, ye children of men.
4 For a thousand years are in thy eyes but as the yesterday
when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep:
in the morning (they grow) like the grass which changes.
6 In the morning it blossometh, and is changed:
in the evening it is mowed off, and withereth.
7 For (thus) are we consumed by thy anger,
and by thy fury we are terrified.

Genesis XLIX:22-26

22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well;
whose branches run over the wall.
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him :
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong
by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel :)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty,
who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under,
blessings of the breasts, and of the womb :
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors
unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills :
they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Ezechiel XXXIV:7-12

7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey,
and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd,
neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
10Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds;
and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock;
neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth,
that they my not be meat for them.
11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered;
so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
