__ Book of Esther 3 (the Book of Esther) __

6 When Haman learned that Mordechai was Jewish, he decided to punish him as well as all the Jews in the kingdom.
7 In the twelfth year of the reign of king Ah-chash-ver-osh – in the month of Nissan – lots (pur) were cast by Haman, to choose the day and the month for a pogrom; the month of Adar was chosen.
8 Then Haman slyly said to Ah-chash-ver-osh, “There is a group of people scattered throughout you kingdom whose customs are different from anyone else´s and who do not obey the king´s laws. It doesn´t make any sense to tolerate them.
9 I will be able to pay the treasury 10,000 silver talents if you will issue a decree that they be destroyed.“
10 The king agreed and gave his signet ring to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews, with which to seal and sign the order.
11 The king said to Haman, “You can keep the money and still have my permission to do anything you want with them.“
12 In the first month, on the thirteenth day, Haman dictated orders to all governors and princes, to every province in its own script and every people in its own language; the order was written and sealed with the king´s own signet ring.

__ Shemot 3 (Torah - Five Books of Moses) __

11 Moses said to Adonai, “Who am I that I should go to Pharao? How can you expect me to lead the Israelites out of Egypt?“
12 Adonai replied, “Have faith, because I will be with you. And this will be your sign that it was I who sent you to lead my people out of Egypt. When you are free, all of you will return to this mountain of Sinai.“
13 Moses said to Elohim, “If I go to the Israelites and say, `Your fathers‘ Elohim sent me to you,´ and they ask me, `What is His name?´ what should I answer them?“
14 Adonai replied to Moses, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh“ (I Will Be Who I Will Be). Adonai then explained, “This is what you must say to the Israelites: `Ehyeh [I Will Be] sent me to you.´“
15 Then Adonai said to Moses, “You must say to the Israelites, `The Adonai of your ancestors, the Adonai of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, sent me to you.´ This is My eternal name, and this is how I am to be remembered for eternity.“

__ 1 Samuel 2 (Book of Haftarot) __

1 The Hanna prayed:
Adonai´s salvation makes my heart rejoice;
Adonai, my spirit
is bursting with goodness,
my spirit gets high!
I laugh at my enemies;
I rejoice in You.
2 There is no Holy One like Adonai.
There is no one besides You.
There is no rock like our Savior.
3 Stop putting on a ritzy act;
remove the sneer from your face.
Adonai knows everything;
He will judge by your deeds.
4 The strength of the mighty is now weakened,
while those who were weak
are now with new strength.
5 Those who once were rich
now slave for their daily bread,
while those who were starving
now will feast.
Those who had no children
have given birth,
and she who had many children
is lonely.
6 Adonai takes away life
and brings life;
He sentences people to the grave;
Adonai raises people from the depths.
7 Adonai makes people poor
and Adonai makes people wealthy;
Adonai brings disgrace
and Adonai brings honor.
