1:9 And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
1:10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.
1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
1:12 And immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.
1:13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
1:5 And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
15:2 by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory that which I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
15:3 Because, I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
15:4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
15:5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
15:6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
15:7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
15:8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
