Genesis 12:1-5
1Now Jehovah said to Abram,
Go from your land
And from your relatives
And from your father's house
To the land the I will show you;
2And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3And I will bless those who bless you
And he who curses you I will curse;
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
4So Abram went as Jehovah had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he went out of Haran.
5And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possesions that they had gathered, and the souls they had acquired in Haran, and they went out to go to the land of Canaan. And they came to the land of Canaan.
Psalm 23
1992 Edition
1Jehovah is my Shepherd; I will lack nothing.
2He makes me lie down in grassy pastures;
He leads me to waters of rest.
3He restores my soul;
He guides me on the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
4Even though I walk
Through the valley of the shadow of death,
I do not fear evil,
For You are with me;
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
5You spread a table before me
In the presence of my adversaries;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6Surely goodness and kindness will follow me
All the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of Jehovah
For the length of my days.

Isaiah 55:1-3
1Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters,
And you who have no money;
Come, buy and eat;
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
2Why do you spend your money for what is not bread,
And the result of you labor for what does not satisfy?
Hear Me attentively, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3Incline your ear and come to Me;
Hear, so your soul may live;
And I will make an eternal covenant with you,
Even the sure mercies shown to David.

1Now I make known to you, brothers, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,
2Through which also you are being saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you as the gospel, unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you, among the first things, that which also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;
4And that He was buried, and that He has been raised on the third day according to the Scriptures;
5And that He was seen by Cephas, then to the twelve;
6After that He was seen by over five hundred brothers at one time, of whom the majority remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;
7After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles;
8And last of all He was seen by me also, even as to one untimely born.
