The Lord is my shepherd; my needs are met. He guides me to where there is green pasture and cool waters; this renews my spirit. With a sure step he leads me; it is his nature to do so.
Even though I should walk through the shadow of death, there is nothing to fear, because you are with me. Your rod and staff is my comfort. Before the eyes of those who hate me, you not only prepare a feast, but also anoint my head with oil — even my cup runs over.
My days upon earth will be full, for they are filled with your goodness and mercy. To the end of time I shall stay in the house of the Lord.
