Mark 1:9-13
9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11And there came a voice from heaven, saying,you are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
12And immediately the Spirit sent him into the desert.
13And he was there in the desert forty days tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shone in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain till now, but some are fallen asleep.
7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
