John 1:1-5

¹In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was in relation to God, and the Logos was God.
²It was he who at the first stood in relation to God.
³All things were made through him, and without him was made not a single thing that has been made.
⁴In him was life, and the life was the light,
⁵And the light illuminates in the dark, and the darkness overtook it not.
