Genesis 12:1-5
1Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.
Psalm 23
1The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.
Isaiah 55:1-3
1“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
2Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.
Mark 1:9-13
9It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. 11Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
12Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. 13And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
Exodus 3: 13-15 (R.A.V. 1982)
13 Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of
Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and
they say to me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?"
14 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he siad, "This you shall
say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'
"15 Moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of
Israel, 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name for ever, and
this is my memory to all generations.
Psalm 50:1-5 (R.A.V. 1982)
A Psalm of Asaph.
1 THE Mighty One, God the LORD,
Has spoken and called the earth
From the rising of the sun to its going down.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God will shine forth.
3 Our God will come,
and shall not keep silent;
A fire shall devour before him,
And it shall be very tempestuous all around him.
4 He shall call to the heavens from above,
And to the earth,
that he may judge his people:
5 "Gather my saints together to me,
Those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
6 Let the heavens declare his righteousness,
For God himself is judge.
7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak,
O Israel, and I will testify against you;
I am God, your God!"
Micah 5:2-5 (R.A.V. 1982)
2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephratah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to me
The one to be ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth have been/ from of old,
From everlasting."
3 Therefore he shall give them up,
Until the time //that she who is in labour has given birth;
Then the remnant of his brethren
Shall return to the children of Israel.
4 And he shall stand and feed his flock
In the strength of the LORD,
In the majesty of the name of the LORD his God;
And they shall abide,
For now he shall be great To the ends of the earth;
5 And this one shall be peace.
Matthew 6:9-13 (R.A.V. 1982)
9
"In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory for ever. Amen.¹

Philippians 2:5-11 (R.A.V. 1982)
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal
with God,
7 but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant,
and coming in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in the appearance as a man, he humbled himself and
became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted him and given him the name which
is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven,
and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the Glory of God the father.
Deuteronomy 33:26-29 (NKJV 1984f)
26 There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,
Who rides the heavens to help you,
And in His excellency on the clouds.
27 The eternal God is your refuge,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
He will thrust out the enemy from before you,
And will say, 'Destroy!'
28 Then Israel shall dwell in safety,
The fountain of Jacob alone,
In a land of grain and new wine;
His heavens shall also drop dew.
29 Happy are you, O Israel!
Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD,
The shield of your help
And the sword of your majesty!
Your enemies shall submit to you,
And you shall tread down their high places."
Jeremiah 23:5-8 (NKJV 1984f)
5 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD,
"That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness;
A King shall reign and prosper,
And execute judgement and righteousness in the earth.
6 In His days Judah will be saved,
And Israel will dwell safely;
Now this is His name by which He will be called:
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7 Therefore, behold, the days are coming," says the LORD,
"that they shall no longer say, 'As the LORD lives
who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,
8 "but, 'As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants
of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries
where I had driven them.' And they shall dwell in their own land."
Luke 1: 67-75 (NKJV 1984f)
67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
68 "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited and redeemed His people,
69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of His servant David,
70 As he spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,
Who have been since the world began,
71That we should be saved from our enemies
And from the hand of all who hate us,
72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers
And to remember His holy covenant
73 The oath which he swore to our father Abraham:
74 To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holyness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life."
Revelation 15:1-4 (NKJV 1984f)
1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous:
seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire,
and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark
and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:
"Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are your ways,
O King of the 1saints!
4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify your name?
For You alone are holy.
For all nations shall come and worship before You.
For Your judgements have been manifested."
