Mark 1:9-13
9 In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And immediately on coming out of the water, he saw the heavens split part, and the Spirit, descending on him like a dove, 11 and a voice came from heaven, "You are my Son the beloved, in you I am well pleased.
12 And at once the Spirit urged him to out into the desert. 13 He was in the desert for forty days, put to the test by Satan; he was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered to him.
John 1:1-5
1 The Word was in the beginning, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things came into existence through him, and without him not a single thing. What has come into existance 4 was life in him, and the life was the light of people; 5 and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1 I would remind you, brothers,of the gospel, which I have preached to you, which you welcomed, and in which you have stood fast, 2 through which also you are being saved in the terms which we proclaimed to you, if you do stand fast, — unless you have believed in vain. 3 Now I handed on to you, in the first place, what I myself had received, namely, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, 4 that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, 5 and that he was seen by Cephas, and then by the twelve. 6 That he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at the same time, of whom most are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. 7 That he was seen by James; then by all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as if to an aborted foetus, that he was seen by me also.
