Mark 1:9-13
9 Now at that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River. 10 And at once, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the skies dividing and the Spirit coming down to him, like a dove. 11 And there was a voice from the skies: 'You are my Son, whom I love dearly; I am delighted with you: 12 Straight away the Spirit sent him off into the desert. 13 He was in the desert for forty days, during which he was tempted by Satan. He was with the creatures of the wild, and the angels used to attend to his needs.
John 1:1-5
1 The Meaning was there at the very beginning;
the Meaning was in God's presence;
indeed, the Meaning was God.
2 He was there in God's presence at the very beginning.
3 It was through him that everything came into existence;
in fact, apart from him not a single thing came into
existence.
Whatever has come into existence 4 owed its life to him, and the life was humanity's light.
5 Now it is in the darkness that the light shines,
but the darkness has never overpowered it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1 Brothers and sisters, let me tell you about the good news I proclaimed to you, which you also accepted, on which you also took your stand. 2 Through the message of the good news I proclaimed to you, you are being saved, as long as you are holding firmly to it, and didn't come to faith without thinking about what you were doing.
3 For I handed on to you as of first importance what I, too, had received, that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures had foretold, 4 that he was buried, that he was brought to life again on the third day, as the Scriptures had foretold,
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.
6 Then, on one occasion, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters, most of whom are still living, although some have passed on. 7 He then appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, he appeared to me as well— like someone born at the wrong time.
