Mark 1:9-13
9And it happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and He was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10And immediately going up out of the water He saw the heavens parted, and the Spirit as a dove descending on Him; 11and there was a voice out of the heavens, "You are My Son, the dearly beloved, in You I was content."
12And immediately the Spirit carried Him out into the solitude. 13And there He was in the waste places forty days, being tested by Satan, and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels waited on Him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was near God, and the Word was God. 2This Word existed in the beginning near God. 3All things came to pass through It, and apart from It did not come to pass one thing which did come to pass. 4In It was life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not lay hold of it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Now am I declaring to you brethren, the glad tidings which I preached to you, which also you did receive, in which also you did take your stand, 2through which also you were saved, with what word I did preach to you, if you hold on, except unless you put your faith in to no purpose. 3For I delivered to you especially that which also I did receive, that Christ died for the sins of us according to the Scriptures; 4and that He was buried; and that He has been raised on the third day according to the Scriptures; 5and that He was seen by Cephas; then by the twelve; 6after that He was seen by more than 500 brethren at once, out of whom the majority remain to this day, but some did fall asleep; 7afterwards He was seen by James; then by all the apostles; 8and last of all, even as by a child untimely born, also by me.
