Mark 1:9-13
1:9And it happened in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was immersed* by John in the Jordan. 1:10And immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens being split-apart and the Spirit like a dove coming down upon him. 1:11And a voice came out of the heavens, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.
1:12And immediately the Spirit cast him out into the wilderness. 1:13And he was there in the wilderness for forty days being tempted by the Adversary and he was with the beasts and the messengers served him.
John 1:1-5
1:1In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. 1:2The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that has been made. 1:4In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 1:5And the light is appearing in the darkness, and the darkness did not {F} overtake it.
{F} Or: comprehend.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
15:1Now I make known to you* brethren, the good-news which I proclaimed to you*, which you* also received, in which you* also stand, 15:2through which you* are also saved, if you* are holding-onto the word which I proclaimed to you*– unless you* vainly believed. 15:3For* I gave to you*, first of all, what I also received: that Christ died on behalf of our sins according to the Scriptures; 15:4and that he was buried, and that he has been lifted up on the third day according to the Scriptures.
15:5And that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve; 15:6thereafter he appeared to over five hundred brethren at once, out of whom most remain until now, but some have also fallen-asleep; 15:7thereafter he appeared to James; thereafter to all the apostles; 15:8and last of all, like to the premature-baby, he appeared also to me.
(you* indicates a plural you)
