Mark 1:9-13

vs. 9-11 Jesus' baptism

^9. And it came to pass in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John into the Jordan.
^10. And immediately while going up out of the water he saw the heavens being open also the Spirit coming down like a dove into him.
^11. And a voice came out of the heavens; "You are my beloved son, I take delight in you."

vs. 12-13 Jesus out in the desert

^12. And immediately the Spirit is throwing him out into the desert.
^13. And he was in the desert forty days being put to the test by the adversary and he was with the wild animals and the angels were serving him.
