Mark 1:9-13
1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in the Jordan.
1:10 And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
1:12 And immediately the spirit drives him into the wilderness.
1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
John 1:1-5
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and outside him was not any thing made that was made.
1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
1:5 And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
15:1 Moreover, brothers, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and in which you stand;
15:2 By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.
15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brothers at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
