Mark 1:9-13
First Edition, 1992 & Second Digital Edition, Revised 2008
9And it happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized into the Jordan by John. 10And immediately as he went up out of the water, he saw the heavens split open, and the Spirit, like a dove, going down into [toward] him. 11And a voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, the loved one; in you I am greatly pleased."
12And immediately the Spirit cast him out into the desert. 13 And he was in the desert forty days, being tested by Satan, and he was with the wild animals, and messengers [angels] took care of him.
John 1:1-5
First Edition, 1992
1In (the) beginning, the Word existed; and the word was (active with) God, and God was the Word. 2This one was in the beginning active with God. 3Everything happened through him, and apart from him, nothing happened that has happened. 4In him, life existed; and the life was the light of people. 5And the light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness did not overpower it.
Second Digital Edition, Revised 2008
1In (the) beginning, the Word existed; and the Word was (active) with God, and God was the Word. 2This one was in the beginning (active) with God. 3Everything happened [came into being] through him, and apart from him, not a single thing happened that has come into existence [happened]. 4In him, life existed; and the life was the people's light . 5And the light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness did not overpower it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
First Edition, 1992
1I am reminding you all, brothers, of the Gospel I preached to you, which you also received [accepted], in which you have been standing. 2That's also how you are being saved, if you hold on to the word that I preached to you: unless, of course you have become faithful for nothing [in vain]. 3For I handed on to you, at first, what I also received: that Christ died on account of our failures [shortcomings], according to the Scripture; 4and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures; 5and that he was seen by Cephas, and then by the twelve. 6Later, he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at once, most of whom are still living, tho some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8Last of all, as if to one born abnormally, he even appeared to me.

1I am reminding you all, brothers, of the good news I preached to you, which you also received [accepted], in which you have been standing. 2That's also how you are being kept safe, if you hold on to the word that I preached to you: unless, of course you have become faithful for nothing [in vain]. 3For I handed on to you, at first, what I also received: that Christ died on account of our failures [shortcomings], according to the Scripture; 4and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures; 5and that he was seen by Cephas, and then by the twelve. 6Later, he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the envoys [apostles]. 8Last of all, as if to one born abnormally, he even appeared to me.
