Mark 1:9-13

9And in those days Jesus went from Nazareth in Galilee, and was immersed into the Jordan River by John. 10And immediately coming up out of the water he saw the heavens opening and the Spirit as a dove coming down unto him. 11And a voice began from the heavens, You are my beloved Son. I am well please in you.
12And immediately the Spirit cast him into the wilderness. 13And he was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan, and he was with the wild animals; and the angels ministered to him.

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things came into being by him, and without him nothing came into being.
4In him was life, and the life was the light of people. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

1 Corinthians 15:1-9

1Brethren, I make known to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you all received and in which you stand; 2And through which you are saved, if you hold fast the word I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you first that which I received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he was raised the third day according to the Scriptures; 5And that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6After that he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once, of whom most remain until now, but some have died. 7He was then seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8And last of all, as one untimely born, he was seen by me also. 9I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
