Psalm 23

PSALM TWENTY-THREE

A psalm of David:

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want,
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me to still pools of water,
He revives my soul and guides me
In the right path, for His own name's sake.
Even as I walk down the valley in the shadow of death
I will fear no evil because you are with me,
Your rod and your staff reassure me.
Thus, You set me a table in the face of my enemy,
My head anointed with oil, my cup running over.
So merciful goodness will attend me all the days of my life,
Then, I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
