Shemot / Exodus 3:13-15 (1989 ed.)

13 And Moshe said to GOD, behold, when I come to the children of Yisra´el, and shall say to them,
The GOD of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?
14 And GOD said to Moshe, EHEYEH ASHER EHEYEH (I will ever be what I am now):
and he said, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Yisra´el, EHEYE (I am) has sent me to you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moshe, "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yisra´el,
'The LORD God of your fathers, The GOD of Avraham the GOD of Yizhaq, and of Ya´aqov,
has sent me unto you', this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

Yirmeyahu / Jeremiah 31: 30-36 (1989 ed.)

30 Behold, days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Yisra´el, and with the house of Yehuda:
31 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mizrayim; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was their master, says the LORD;
32 but this shall be covenant that I will make with the house of Yisra´el after those days, says the LORD; I will put my Tora in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their GOD, and they shall be my people,
33 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
34 This says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea that its waves roar; the LORD of hosts is his name:
35 If these ordinances depart from before me, says the LORD, then the seed of Yisra´el also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
36 Thus says the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the seed of Yisra´el for all that they have done, says the LORD GOD.

Tehillim / Psalm 50:1-7 (1989 ed.)

1 A PSALM of Asaf. The mighty one, GOD, the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.
2 Out of Ziyyon, the perfection of beauty, GOD has shone forth.
3 Our GOD comes, and does not keep silence; a fire devours before him, and it is very tempestuous round about him.
4 He calls to the heavens above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 Gather my pious one together to me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 And the heavens declare his righteousness: for GOD is judge himself. (Sela.)

7 Hear, o my people, and I will speak; O Yisra´el, and I will testify against thee: I am GOD, thy GOD.

Iyyov / Job 19:21-27 (1989 ed.)

21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O my friends;
for the hand of GOD has toched me.
22 Why do you, like GOD, persecute me,
and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oh that my words were now written!
oh that they were inscribed in a book!
24 that with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my avenger lives,
and that he who outlives all things, will rise when I shall be dust.
26 And whilst I am still in my flesh, thou it be after my skin is torn from my body, I would see GOD;
27 that I might see him for myself; that my eyes might behold, and not another;
in longing for that my reins are consumed within me.

Devarim / Deuteronomy 33 (Tanakh 2010)

26 There is none like to the God of Yeshurun, Who rides upon the heaven to thy help, and in His excellency on the clouds.
27 The Eternal God is a dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; and He shall thrist out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 Yisra‘el then shall dwell in safety alone; the fountain of Ya´akov shall dwell upon a land of corn and wine; also His heavens shall drop down dew.
29 Happy art thou, O Yisra‘el: who is like to thee, O people saved by th LORD, the shield of thy help, and one that is the sword of thy excellency! and all thy enemies shall submit themselves to thee; and thou shall tread upon their high places.

Yesha‘yahu / Isaiah 66 (Tanakh 2010)

5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My name‘s sake, have said, Let the LORD be glorified: that we may see your joy; but they shall be ashamed.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the LORD rendering recompense to His enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who has heard of such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born in one moment? for as soon as Ẓiyyon travailed she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: or shall I who cause to bring forth, thereupon shut the womb? says thy God.

10 Rejoice with Yerushalayim, and be glad with her, all you that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all you that did mourn for her:
11 that you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

Tehillim / Psalm 20 (Tanakh 2010)

1 TO THE chief Musician, A Psalm for David.
2 May the LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Ya´aqov defend thee!
3 May He send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Ẓiyyon!
4 May He remember all thy offerings, and accept with favour thy burnt offering! (Sela.)
5 May He grant thee thy heart´s desire, and fulfil all thy counsel.
6 May we rejoice in Thy salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banner! Let the LORD fulfil all thy petitions!
7 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; and He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.
8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.
9 They are bowed down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
10 Save, LORD; O King, who hears us on the day when we call.
