Mark 1:9-13
9And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John, In Jordan. 10And immediately going up, out of the water, he saw the heavens part asunder, and the spirit, as a dove, descending upon him. 11And a voice came from heaven, saying, "Thou are my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased."
12Ane immediately the spirit sendeth him forth into the desert. 13And he was tempted by the adversary forty days; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were done by him; and without him, was not any thing done that hath been done. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ""5^^ And the light shone in darkness; and the darkness obscured it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Now I declare to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also ye received, and in which ye stand; 2through which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what doctrine I preached to you: unless ye have believed rashly.
3For I delivered to you among the first things, that which I actually received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures; 4and that he was buried, and that he was raised the third day, according to the scriptures; 5and that he was seen by Peter, then by the twelve.
6After that, he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once; of who the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep. 7After that, he was seen by James; then by all the apostles. 8And, last of all, he was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
