Psalm 22 in the Vulgate numbering

1A psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd, and nothing do I want:
2he bids me repose in verdant pastures;
to springs where I may rest he leads me on,
3and there refreshes me.
He leads me onward over safe, straight paths
to manifest his holy name.
4And should I cross a gloomy vale,
no evil shall I fear, because you are with me.
Your crook and staff —
they comfort me.

5You spread for me a feast
for all my foes to see;
and you anoint my head with oil;
my cup is full up to the brim.
6Kindness and grace will wait on me
through all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and evermore.
