John 1:1-5
1. When time began, the Idea already was. The Idea was at home with God, and the Idea and God were one. This same Idea was at home with God when time began. Through him the universe was made, and apart from him not one thing came to be. In him was life, and the life was humanity’s light. And the light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness never quenched it.

1. Now brothers, let me make clear to you the good news which I originally brought to you and which you received, and in which you’ve taken your stand, and by which you’re finding your way out - that is, if you’re still holding on to the word as I gave it to you. If you’re not, then your "faith" isn’t worth a hill of beans.

For among the most important things I turned over to you was that which I myself received - that Christ died for our sins, just like the Bible said, and that he was buried, and that on the third day he was raised, again just as the Bible said. As I got it, he was seen by Rock, then by the twelve. Later he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at the same time.
