Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

1GOD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

2God makes me lie down in green pastures,
and leads me beside still waters;

3God restores my soul.
God leads me in paths of righteousness
for the sake of God's name.

4Even though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of GOD
my whole life long.

Mark 1:9-13

9In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending to him like a dove. 11And a voice came from heaven, "You are my Child, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased."
12And the Spirit immediately drove Jesus out into the wilderness. 13Jesus was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts, and the angels served him.

Matthew 6:9-13 - The Lord's Prayer

9Pray then in this way:

Our Father-Mother in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10Your dominion come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one.

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The Word was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through the Word, and without the Word not one thing came into being. What has come into being 4in the Word was life, and the life was the light of all people. 5The light shines in the deepest night, and the night did not overcome it.

John 3:16:

16For God so loved the world that God gave God's only Child, so that everyone who believes in that Child may not perish but may have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

1Now I would remind you, sisters and brothers, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, 2through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain.
3For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, 4and was buried; and that Christ was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, 5and appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6Then Christ appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are alive, though some have died. 7Then Christ appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8Last of all, as to one untimely born, Christ appeared also to me.
