JESUS IS BAPTIZED AND A VOICE IS HEARD FROM HEAVEN
9In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10As soon as Jesus came up out of the water, He saw the heavens open and the Spirit descend upon Him like a dove. 11A voice from heaven said, You are My dearly loved Child. I am pleased with You." 12Then the Spirit sent Him away into the wilderness. 13He was there among the animals of the wilderness for forty days being tempted by Satan, and the angels took care of Him.
1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The Word was with God in the beginning 3All things were made by the Word, and apart from the Word nothing came into being. 4In the Word was life, and that life was the light of all people. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not grasped it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE RESURRECTION
15:1Believers, I remind you of the good news that I preached to you, which you received and on which you stand. 2You are saved by this good news if you continue believing what I preached to you. If not, then your faith was of no use. 3For I gave you first of all what I was given: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4was buried, was raised the third day in accordance with the Scriptures 5and was seen by Peter and then by the twelve. 6After that Christ was seen by over five hundred believers at one time. Most of them are still alive, though some have died. 7After that Christ was seen by James, and then by all the apostles. 8And last of all Christ was seen by me, as if to a person born at the wrong time.
