Mark 1:9-13

9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan. 10And immediately on coming up from the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him. 11And there was a voice from the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
12And immediately the Spirit compelled him to go forth into the wilderness. 13And he was there in the wilderness forty days, to be tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him, and without him not one thing was made that now exists. 4In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

1But I make known to you brethren the gospel that I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you among the first things, that which I also received: That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures; 4and that he was buried; and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures; 5and that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve; 6after that, he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain till this day; but some have fallen asleep. 7After that, he was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8Last of all, he was seen by me also, as one untimely born.

Mark 1:9-13

9And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10And immediately going up out of the water he saw the heavens rent, and the Spirit like a dove coming down upon him. 11And there was a voice from the heavens : Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased.
12And immediately the Spirit drives him into the wilderness. 13And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan ; and he was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through him, and without him came into being not one thing that is in being. 4In him is life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

1Moreover, I make known to you. brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you have stood, 2through which also you are saved, if you hold fast with what word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you, among the first things, that which I also received; that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; 4and that he was buried: and that he rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures: 5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6After that he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain till now, but some have also fallen asleep. 7After that he appeared to James, after that to all the apostles. 8 But, last of all, as to the one born out of due time, he appeared to me also.
