Esther 4:12-17
12 And they told Mordecai the words of Esther. 13 And Mordecai commanded to answer Esther: Think not in thy soul to escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou art wholly silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise to the Jews from another place, but thou wilt perish and thy father's house. And who knoweth whether for a time like this thou hast attained to the kingdom?
15 Then Esther commanded to answer Mordecai: 16 Go, assemble all the Jews found in Shushan, and fast ye for me; and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day; I also and my maidens will fast likewise. And thus will I go to the king, which is not according to the law ; and if I perish, I perish.
17 And Mordecai went away, and did according to all that Esther commanded him.
