Psalm 22 (LXX) (1963)
¹ The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall want.
² Fresh and green are the pastures
where he gives me repose.
Near restful waters he leads me,
³ to revive my drooping spirit.
He guides me along the right path;
he is true to his name.
⁴ If I should walk in the valley of darkness
no evil would I fear.
You are there with your crook and your staff;
with these you give me comfort.
⁵ You have prepared a banquet for me
in the sight of my foes.
My head you have anointed with oil;
my cup is overflowing.
⁶ Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me
all the days of my life.
In the Lord's own house shall I dwell
for ever and ever.
Revelation 15 (Abbey Psalter 1981)
Then I saw what appeared to be a sea / of glass mingled with fire.
On it were standing those who has won the victory / over the beast and its image and the number of its name.
They were holding the harps of God in their hands / and were singing the song of Moses, / the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:
Great and wonderful are your deeds, O Lord, God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways, / O King of the ages!
Who will not fear you, O Lord, / and glorify your name? / For you alone are holy. /
All nations will come and worship you / for your judgments have been revealed.
Psalm (18) 19. (1983/ ´86)
2 The heavens proclaim your glory, O God,
and the firmament shows forth the work of your hands.
3 Day unto day takes up the story
and night unto night makes known the message.
4 No speech, no word, no voice is heard
5 yet their span extends through all the earth,
their words to the utmost bounds of the world.
There you have placed a tent for the sun;
6 is comes forth like a bridegroom coming from his tent,
rejoices like a champion to run its course.
7 At the end of the sky is the rising of the sun;
to the furthest end of the sky is its course.
There is nothing concealed from its burning heat.

8 The law of the Lord is perfect,
it revives the soul.
The rule of the Lord is to be trusted,
it gives wisdom to the simple.
9 The precepts of the Lord are right,
they gladden the heart.
The command of the Lord is clear,
it gives light to the eyes.
Psalm 1 (1993/95)
¹ Happy indeed are those
who follow not the counsel of the wicked,
nor linger in the way of sinners
nor sit in the company of scorners,
² but whose delight is the law of the LORD
and who ponder God's law day and night.
³ They are like a tree that is planted
beside the flowing waters,
that yields its fruit in due season.
and whose leaves shall never fade;
and all that they do shall prosper.
⁴ Not so are the wicked, not so!
For they like winnowed chaff
shall be driven away by the wind.
⁵ When the wicked are judged they shall not stand,
nor find room among those who are just;
⁶ for the LORD guards the way of the just
but the way of the wicked leads to doom.
Psalm 50 (49) (Revised Psalter 2010)
1 A Psalm of Asaph.
The God of gods, the LORD,
has spoken and summoned the earth,
from the rising of the sun to its setting.
2 Out of Sion, the perfection of beauty,
God is shining forth.
3 Our God comes, and does not keep silence.
Before him fire devours;
around him tempest rages.
4 He calls on the heavens above,
and on the earth, to judge his people.
5 "Gather my holy ones to me,
who made covenant with me by sacrifice."
6 The heavens proclaim his justice,
for he, God, is the judge.
7 "Listen, my people, I will speak;
Israel, I will testify against you,
for I am God, your God."
