9And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10And coming up straightway from the water, He saw the heavens open and the Spirit like a dove descending on Him. 11And there was a voice from the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
12And immediately the Spirit casts Him out into the wilderness. 13And he was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels continued to minister unto Him.
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by Him, and without Him nothing was made, that has been made. 4In Him was life, and the life was the light of the men. 5And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1But I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which you indeed received, in which you also stand, 2by which you are also saved; which word I preached to you, if you hold it fast, otherwise you believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you in the first place that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4and that he was buried, and that he arose on the third day according to the Scriptures; 5and that he was seen by Cephas; then by the twelve. 6Then he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once, of whom the more remain unto this day, but some have fallen asleep. 7Then he was seen by James; then by all the apostles. 8But last of all he was seen by me, as one born out of due time.
