Mark 1:9-13
9And it happened during those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan.
10And after coming up out of the water, immediately he saw heaven opened and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him;
11and a voice from heaven, "Thou art My deloved Son, with Thee I am well pleased."
12And immediately the Spirit send Him out into the uninhabited region.
13And He was in the uninhabited region for forty days, being tempted by Satan, and He was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered to Him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was with God in the beginning.
3All things were created through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into existence that has come into existence.
4In Him was life and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness did not comprehend it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I proclaimed to you, which also you accepted, in which also you stand,
2by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the message which I delivered to you, unless you believed in vain.
3For I delivered to you as most important what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4and that He was buried, and that He was raised from the dead according to the Scriptures,
5and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6After that He appeared to more than five hundren brethren at one time, most of whom are still living, but some have fallen asleep.
7Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
8and last of all He appeared to me, as one untimely born.
