Mark 1:9-13

1:9And it happened in those days, that Jesus came from
Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan
river. 1:10And immediately after coming up out of the
water, he saw the heavens parted in two and the Spirit
descending upon him in the form of a dove. 1:11And a voice
came out of the heavens saying, "You are my Son, the
Beloved One in whom I delight!"
1:12And immediately afterward the Spirit sent him
away into the wilderness. 1:13He was in the wilderness
forty days being tempted by Satan, where his only company
was the wild beasts. But later, the angels came and ministered
to him.

John 1:1-5

1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. 1:2This One was in the
beginning with God. 1:3All things came into existence
through him, and separately from him nothing which now
is came into existence.
1:4In him was the Father’s life and this life was the light
of men. 1:5And that light now shines in the darkness and the
darkness cannot put a stop to it.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

15:1Now I reaffirm to you, brethren, the gospel that I
preached to you, which you also received, in which also
you stand, 15:2by which you also are being saved, if you are
holding tightly onto the word which I preached to you,
unless you believed insincerely.
15:3For I delivered to you truths from among the primary
ones which I also received, i.e. that the Anointed One
died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15:4and that he
was buried; and that he has been raised on the third day according
to the scriptures; 15:5and that he appeared to Cephas
and then to the twelve. 15:6After that he appeared to more
than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are
still alive until today, but some of whom have fallen asleep
{died}; 15:7then he appeared to James; then to all the sent ones.
15:8Then – being the least important of them all, like a
child who was born by miscarriage – he appeared to me also.
