Mark 1:9-13
9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent, and the Spirit like a dove descending to him. 11And there was a voice out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased.
12And straightway the spirit drives him out into the wilderness. 13And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the beasts; and the angels were ministering unto him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that has been made. 4In him is life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1And I make known unto you, brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand; 2by which also ye are being saved, if ye hold fast the word in which I preached it unto you, unless ye believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, 4and that he was buried, and that he has been raised the thnd day according to the scriptures; 5and that he appeared to Kephas, then to the twelve. 6After that, he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part abide unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8And last of all he appeared to me also, as the one born out of due time.
