Genesis 12:1-5
1 Now the LORD said to Abram,
"Get yourself out of your homeland,
away from your clan,
and out of your father's house,
to a land that I will show you.
2 And I will make you a great nation,
and I will bless you,
and make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 And I will bless those
who bless you,
And anyone who curses you
I will curse,
And all the families of the land will be blessed through you."
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD told him to. Lot went with him. Abram was 75 years old when he departed from the country of Haran.
5 Abram took his wife Sarai, and his nephew Lot, and all the property and livestock they had gathered, and the relatives and camp followers they had acquired in Haran. They went out to go into the land of Canaan, and thus they came into the land of Canaan.
Mark 1:9-13
9 Jesus then came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan River.
10 And as soon as Jesus emerged from the water, he saw that the heavens opened and the Divine Guide descended like a dove upon Him:
11 A voice came from heaven declaring, "You are my beloved Son whom I value greatly."
12 The Divine Guide then led Jesus into the desert.
13 He remained in the desert for forty days, where Satan tested Him; and He was with wild animals as the angels waited on Him.
John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning was perfection; its logic was with God and its truth was God.
2 All this was in the beginning, with God.
3 All things were made by Him; not one thing was made without Him.
4 Life was in Him, and this life was the beacon of mankind.
5 In the darkness shined the light, and the darkness could not snuff it out.
1 Corinithans 15:1-8
1 Furthermore I am making known to you, brothers, the gospel that I preached to you, that you have also received, and where you stand in it.
2 You are also saved by it, if you remember what I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
3 For I first delivered to you what I also received: that Christ died for our sins, according to Scripture.
4 He was buried, and He rose again on the third day, according to Scripture.
5 He was seen by Cephas, then a member of the Twelve.
6 After that, he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at once. The majority of these are still alive today, but some have fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen by James, and then by all the apostles.
8 Last of all he was seen by me as well, as if by someone born out of due time.
