Mark 1:9-13
9In those days Jesus came from the town of Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River. 10As soon as Jesus came up out of the water, John saw the heavens torn open and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. 11And a voice came from heaven, saying, “You are My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
12Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. 13He was in the wilderness for forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels took care of Him.
John 1:-5
1In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2He was with God in the beginning.
3All things were created by Him,
and not one thing that was created
could exist without Him.
4He was the source of life,
and His life gives light to all mankind.
5The Light shines through the darkness,
and the darkness can never expel it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1Now let me remind you, brothers, of the gospel that I preached to you, which you have accepted and firmly stand on. 2By this gospel you are saved, that is, if you hold fast to the word that I preached to you; unless, of course, you have believed in vain.
3The first thing I delivered to you, was what I had received: that Christ died for our sins as the Scriptures predicted—4that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day as the Scriptures predicted, 5and that He appeared to Cephas and then to the twelve. 6After that He appeared to over five hundred brothers at once; most of these brothers are still alive, but some have died. 7Next He appeared to James, then to the rest of the apostles. 8And last of all, though I was like a miscarried fetus, He appeared to me also.
