Genesis (B'reshiyt) 12:1-5
פרשה לך-לך – Parashah Lekh-Lekha
1 And יהוה said to Avram, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you;
2 And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing;
3 And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."
4 So Avram went forth as יהוה had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Avram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Ḥaran. 5 Avram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the beings which they had acquired in Ḥaran, and they set out for the land of Kana'an; thus they came to the land of Kana'an.
Psalm (Tehillim) 23
A Psalm by David.
1 יהוה is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my being. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of יהוה forever.
Isaiah (Yeshayahu) 55:1-3
1 "Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat you that which is good, and let your being delight itself in fatness. 3 Turn your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your being shall live: and I will cut an everlasting covenant with you, even the trustworthy kindnesses of David.
Mark (Markos) 1:9-13
Immersion of ישוע
9 In those days ישוע came from Nazareth in the Galil and was immersed under Yoḥanan in the Yarden.
10 Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens being parted, and the Ruaḥ like a dove descending upon Him; 11 and a voice came out of the heavens: "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased."
12 Immediately the Ruaḥ drove Him out into the wilderness. 13 And He was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the messengers were attending to Him.
John (Yoḥanan) 1:1-5
Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with Elohim, and the word was Elohim. 2 The same was in the beginning with Elohim. 3 All things were made through it. Without it nothing was made that has been made. 4 In it was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
1 Corinthians (Korinthious A) 15:1-8
1 Now I declare to you, brothers, the good news which I proclaimed to you, which also you received, in which you also stand, 2 by which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly the word which I proclaimed to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Kepha, then to the twelve.
6 Then He appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep. 7 Then He appeared to Ya'aqov, then to all the sheliḥim, 8 and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, He appeared to me also.
