Mark 1:9-13
9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan. 10And immediately, ascending out of the water, he saw the heavens cleft asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him. 11And a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I have delighted. 12And immediately the Spirit sends him forth into the desert. 13And he was in the desert forty days tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God. 2He existed in the beginning with God. 3All things came into existence through him; and without him nothing came into existence which has existed. 4In him is life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1But I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings, which I proclaimed to you which also you received; and in which ye stand; 2Through which also ye are saved, if you hold fast the word which I proclaimed to you as glad tidings, except ye believed in vain. 3For I delivered to you, among the principal things, which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried; and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures; 5And that he appeared to Kephas; then to the twelve. 6Afterwards he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the most remain until now, but some also have fallen asleep. 7Afterwards he appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8And last of all, as to one prematurely born, he appeared to me also.
