Mark 1:9-13

9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in the Jordan. 10 And estraightway coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens frent asunder, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon Him; 11 and a voice came out of the heavens, You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.

12 And estraightway the Spirit drives Him forth into the wilderness. 13 And He was in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; and He was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto Him.

[e] [Straightway in Mark is 2112 eutheōs. Eutheōs means: straightway, immediately, forthwith. Eutheōs is an adverb.] [f] [Rent asunder in this verse is 4977 schizō. Schizō means: 1) to cleave, cleave asunder, rend 2) to divide by rending 3) to split into factions, be divided. Schizō is a verb. Rent is the past tense of rend. Rend means to tear apart, off, or out, by using great force; to split. Asunder means: apart; into parts; separately; in a divided state.]

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The Same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him; and without Him was not anything made that has been made. 4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness aapprehend it not.
