Mark 1:9-13

9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit as a dove descending and remaining upon him: 11And a voice from heaven saying, Thou art my Son, the beloved, in whom I am well pleased.
12And immediately the Spirit sendeth him forth into the desert. 13And he was in the desert forty days tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through him; and without him was not any thing made that hath been made. 4In him is life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

1Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also ye have received, and in which ye stand; 2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what doctrine I preached to you, except that ye have believed in vain. 3For I delivered to you first of all what also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he was raised up the third day according to the scriptures: 5And that he was seen by Kephas, then by the twelve: 6Afterwards he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain until now, but some have fallen asleep. 7Afterward he was seen by James; then by all the apostles. 8And last of all he was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
